In a world where working hard is God and mottos like “no pain, no gain” run rampant, Marc Allen’s recent manifesto, The Type-Z Guide to Success is like a gentle dew from heaven that nutures my productive-slacker sensibilities. Hell, if I do create my own reality why not live life “in a relaxed and easy manner” and at the same time kick some metaphorical ass? This gives new meaning to work smarter, not harder. The point Mr. Allen makes is that with a little persistence, focus, and a written plan he calls an “ideal scene”, even the professional slacker can achieve monumentus success.
Sounds simple, but what a profound shift in my thinking! This message is a soothing salve for my soul. I can’t tell you how it’s already effected my life. So many people believe they have to live the type- A lifestyle where “hard work pays off” especially when you “put your nose to the grindstone.” This may work for some and that’s great (go you), but for most people it winds up being a frenetic spin-cycle with no end in sight. I say stop the madness, come back towards the light, and crack open a cold one. It’s all about enjoying the ride “in a relaxed and easy manner, in a healthy and positive way…”
Amen brother.

The Master Key System by New Thought guru Charles F. Haanel is, in my opinion, the definitive magnum opus on the Law of Attraction. Published in 1917 from the transcripts of a previously released correspondence course, this tasty tome is rife with enough juicy aphorisms to instruct even the laziest of arm chair disciples on the true nature of thought power.
Forget all the Neo-New Thought tripe that’s been published in the last year and go back to the original well-spring of knowledge. This book should be required reading for every third grader and then should be read once a year just to reenforce the concepts.
Divinely inspired? Absolutely. Mr. Haanel was definitely tapping into something profound for inspiration. A true prophet for empowerment. I judge a work of inspiration on its ability to empower the reader without having to rely on something “out there” as a source of strength. Unlike most religious-philosophical control systems that masquerade as something genuinely spiritual, the Master Key System is the real deal. A must read for anyone concerned with realizing their true nature as a powerful creator.

I am Immortal. I am God. I am consciousness. I am reality. I am currently on no psychotropic substances. Before you judge what I have just written, know that you are all of the same things too. You, however, might be on psychotropic substances. I exist in my own dimension and what I believe creates what I experience. I am the only creator in my dimension. You have no power in my world. You might be in the dimension right beside me and I have no power there, except what you give me. There are an infinite number of dimensions.
I exist only to create experience. It is my will and pleasure to consciously determine what I wish to experience and then to think about it. Focus on it. Believe it. What are beliefs and how did you receive yours? Were they the result of your thinking or someone else’s? I have come to think of beliefs as thought patterns that have taken on a life of their own. They are charged with emotion which makes them extremely effective creations. The question is, do they serve you? It is my business to craft beliefs that serve me. This is my Great Work. This is what I believe.
What purpose do you serve in my dimension? You exist as a conduit for my experience. The quality of my relationships with you will determine the quality and nature of my experiences. In your dimension I provide the same thing to you. Remember, there can only be one creator in each dimension. It can be no other way. If everyone creates in one dimension, it’s a cosmic cluster-fuck and the whole system implodes, perhaps ripping a hole in the space-time continuum. Don’t sleep.

What do you believe is true about reality? I believe, whatever you believe to be true, will be true for you. This is no Jedi koan. MMM, help you I can…I know, over the past year we’ve been blitzed with the law of attraction, The Secret, and all sorts of “you create your own reality “theories. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s a full time job trying to decipher this mental mayhem. Let’s dive into the short end of this pool.
The basic premise is this: the contents of your consciousness, i.e. your thoughts create your reality. Where many get confused is to what extent their thoughts actually influence physical reality. I say it’s all or nothing. Many of the Secret peddlars can’t commit to saying you are responsible for absolutely everything in your reality. They don’t want to twist your chi by telling you you’re responsible when horrible things happen in your life. But I say if you’re not responsible for everything and you can’t use the system to produce guaranteed, repeatable results, it’s a worthless philosophy.
The other issue I have with the current Law of Attraction movement is how shamelessly it’s application for the acquisition of material goods is portrayed. Visualize a couple of sweet scenes, a ferrari here, a luxury condo in Cabo there, and presto! You’re living the life of your dreams! Get fucking real. This is perfect marketing to an American audience whose unquenchable desire for the next hot “thing” can never be fulfilled. But hey, I’ll have to take responsibility for this in my reality and try to heal my inner gadget fiend… But I digress… seeing how I’m the God of my world, I will now detail my model of reality, my philosophical kick in the riggins and how it all conspires together in one harmonious mother medley.
Consciousness, Superconsciousness, Universal Mind, God- I think these terms and ideas are interchangeable. I believe every human being is a focal point of consciousness residing in a physical dimension. A conscious singularity. Every person is a focal point of the same consciousness. Only experience and dimension differentiates us.

What is the purpose of philosophy? This a question I have pondered for several years now. And how does one choose the ethos that will be the roadmap for a life well lived? There are so many systems in existence you can easily cast yourself adrift on the stormy seas of intellectual backwash.
Cutting through all the bullshit, a philosophical system should exist for one purpose – to serve as a framework and context for the business and pleasure of living. It should be practical and flexible, able to serve its master in the most fluid of situations. In my opinion most of the world’s religions are nothing more than dead, stone-faced philosophies that forget their roots and purposes. They have forgotten that they should be the faithful servants of their masters and not the other way around.
In my philosophy consciousness is primary. Reality is a product of consciousness. Whose consciousness? Mine, of course. It’s the only one I’m aware really exists. But it’s also yours too. You might be saying,” Prove it.” I can’t prove it to you, but it’s self-evident to me since virtually everything that I perceive comes through/from my consciousness. If I’m not aware of it, it’s irrelevant to me. When it becomes relevant, I’m aware of it. Crazy, right. Prove me wrong.
OK, so what? How is this useful? This brings me back to the question, ” What is the purpose of philosohy?” How will this knowledge improve my existence? That’s really the question of the ages. There are one thousand page tomes residing on dusty bookshelves, in backrooms, hiding in secret vaults dangling that golden carrot for those with eternal persistence.

This is one crazy subject. It’s hard to get a real feel for what the reality is behind this phenomenon, because people are so polarized in their discussions about Oneness deeksha. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t absolutely fascinated by the possibility of receiving enlightenment from an energy transmission that supposedly flows directly from the divine, through the hands of a spiritual adept and into my expectant squash. Thereby physically altering my neuro-pathways and allowing me to don the cosmic smile. Oh sweet nebulae, papa’s coming home.
I’ve recently read both of the books documenting personal experiences with the Oneness deeksha and the self proclaimed avatars and originators of the blessing. Awakening Into Oneness by Arjuna Ardagh and Deeksha – The Fire from Heaven by Kiara Windrider both delve into experiences at the Oneness University in India. I read both of these before investigating this on the internet and all I have to say is…damn! Both of these books are incredibly positive and supportive of Bhagavan, Oneness University and Deekska. Although it appears now that even Kiara Windrider has had a falling out with Bhavagan as he has commented that Bhagavan supposedly retracted the claims of his state of enlightenment. What?

Is this Self-Realization or a cheesy Fox drama? I know I’m confused. Before you start buying stock in deeksha blessing, Oneness University, or Amma/Bhagavan you better read up because there’s a lot of people spun up in all directions. I recommend reading the two aforementioned books, then check out these blogs and resources to form your own opinion. I have no doubt no there’s energy being transferred, but is this group “giving” enlightenment to anyone? Hmmmm…

Because one of my personalities is a rabid information junkie and I need a place to use as a sounding board for all of my interests and investigations. Most of my concerns deal with Self-realization, conscious living, consciousness expansion and the energy that permeates all levels of existence. And if all these aren’t enough metaphysical gristle to chew on, I plan to also engage other subjects as they drift through the space between my ears.
